    PC restarts randomly - I think I have narrowed it down to DISM - 0x800f081f


    Okay, so for a while now my PC has frequent crashes when I play certain games, yet seems to be completely fine with others. I have been through the command prompt numerous times now, done sfc, done chkdsk, dism error but will get to that anything else I could find online.First of all, when I tried to fix this months ago, I somehow escalated things and my windows had corrupt files and became completely corrupted. Had reinstall windows from an iso flash drive again kept some of my files but lost a lotThe problem didn't go away. Tried fixing it, sfc, dism etc. Accidentally changed a drive loc

    Dism error: 0x800f081f

    I used Dism "C:\>dism /image:c:\ /cleanup-image /restorehealth /scratchdir:c:\scratch" to repair a Win10 system in a PE environment, and received an error 0x800f081f, stating that "[t]he source files could not be found".

    Any suggestions on what to do next?

    How to fix DISM error 0x800F081F

    Hi Getting DISM error 0x800F081F in below setup. Setup: 1. Customer’s windows 8.1 all in one PC boots OK, but when logging in you never see any desk screen. 2. Mouse, keyboard and alt ctrl del working fine – task manager works fine and shows 99% idle. No lan connection 3. Booting in safe mode with cmd. 4. Entering “Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:g:\windows /limitaccess”, where G is a mounted USB drev with latest backup. 5. Here I am getting DISM error 0x800F081F. Pls. suggest

    DISM error: 0x800f081F...

    Windows version: 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1165)

    As usual, I ran ""sfc -scannow" command after this month patch update, that didn't find any integrity violation.

    DISM on the other hand did:

    The "RestoreHealth" could not fix the error:

    Checking the image health in PowerShell confirms the issue:

    Repairing the image with PowerShell also fails:

    The system in question boots up and runs just fine, pretty much the same as prior to the patch update. The issue seems very similar, if not the same, to a previous thread in this forum:

    Creators update component store shows corruption but unable to repair

    It is not clear, if the solutions in that and other old threads are workable on the latest version of W10.

    Anyone has a suggestion how to fix this error?
