Windows 10: Is there a way to suspend BitLocker key before updating system BIOS or Firmware?

The issue is mostly observed after BIOS update. After BIOS update on some of the devices, I am required to enter Recovery Key only then I can use the system? Why does this issue occur only for some device. One of the device models I faced issue is with Dell Latitude 3420.

Please make sure you are signed as the Administrator of the computer.

To suspend BitLocker Drive Encryption on an operating system drive

  Click Start, click Control Panel, click
  System and Security, and then click BitLocker Drive Encryption.

  Click Suspend Protection for the operating system drive.
  
• 
  A message is displayed, informing you that your data will not be protected while BitLocker is suspended and asking if you want to suspend BitLocker Drive Encryption. Click
  Yes to continue and suspend BitLocker on the drive.
  

To turn off BitLocker Drive Encryption

  Click Start, click Control Panel, click
  System and Security, and then click BitLocker Drive Encryption.

  Find the drive on which you want BitLocker Drive Encryption turned off, and click
  Turn Off BitLocker.

  A message is displayed, informing you that the drive will be decrypted and that decryption may take some time. Click
  Decrypt the drive to continue and turn off BitLocker on the drive.

How do Bios Changes done when BitLocker is suspended affect the working of BitLocker

I would like to understand a mechanism of BitLocker and looking for help

I have systems that is encrypted with BitLocker - each time I change the Secure boot settings the BitLocker recovery key prompts when the next time booting the system. - That is fine and understandable - the configuration changed and BitLocker wants to confirm that its valid.

Next

I want to do a BitLocker suspense Suspend-BitLocker -MountPoint "C:" -RebootCount 1 to do bios changes without triggering the need to enter the BitLocker recovery key. - that works fine - I do the changes and boot the system. When checking BitLocker status - BitLocker is "ON"

So far all fine

Now after the above has been done on a system - when I do some changes to BIOS (like changing the Secure boot to "off" or other secure boot options - washout suspending Blocker it dose not trigger the BitLocker recovery key prompt - which it did before the Suspend-BitLocker -MountPoint "C:" -RebootCount 1 command was executed - my question is Why? and how this mechanism work? Why i don't get now a prompt for BitLocker recovery key when I change significant BIOS settings after I did changes to Bios in BitLocker Suspended mode ?

• The drive must be BitLocker-protected.

To suspend BitLocker Drive Encryption on an operating system drive, please follow the steps below:

• Click Start, click Control Panel, click
  System and Security, and then click BitLocker Drive Encryption.
• Click Suspend Protection for the operating system drive.
• A message is displayed, informing you that your data will not be protected while BitLocker is suspended and asking if you want to suspend BitLocker Drive Encryption.
  
• Click Yes to continue and suspend BitLocker on the drive.
