  1. Is there an event log entry that can tell you what the Device Association Service is...

I'm having multiple events throughout the day when the Device Association Service crashes and uses up 100% of all CPU cores on my system. I'd like to know what specific device might be causing this issue? I currently have to kill the SVCHOST process and let it respawn, or alternatively I can suspend the same process.

    :)

  2. Event Log Service

When I try to use Event Viewer it tells me that Event Log Service is not running or unavailable. I find that it is stopped so I start the service but if I check back later I get the same message and nothing has been logged

  3. Solution for reviewing Service Start/Stop events in Windows 11

    Thanks for the suggestions.

    1. Unfortunately, there is no option for Service Control Manager under Applications and Services Logs >Microsoft -> Windows on Windows 11
    2. WPR may assist with this
    3. As mentioned in my post, there are no events in the event logs. This suggestion was not helpful.
    4. This would be a viable solution if the client had Active Directory or an RMM tool to deploy this to all their endpoints. Unfortunately, they have neither of these solutions.
    5. I will look into this.

    Regards,

"Windows Event Log" service not starting

When I start the "Windows Event Log" service I get the following error:

Windows could not start the Windows Event Log service on Local Computer.

Error 15008: The specified xml text was not well-formed. See Extended Error for more details.

Any suggestion on how to make this sevice work again?

    Thanks,
