    Certain Steam games lock up my computer during launch, which requires a power-button hard...


    Two Steam games that I know of, Dune: Awakening and The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition, lock up my Alienware laptop on launch with no pop-ups cursor won't move, Ctrl-Alt-Del doesn't respond, can't Alt-Tab, etc. All of the other games I have installed launch and play fine.Dune Awakenings launches the Funcom launcher and BattlEye. But, immediately after the BattlEye window closes the laptop locks up. The Outer Worlds locks up shortly after launch. I get no popups, but in both cases I hear a first notification sound like the Admin popup but without the popup followed shortly by a

    Certain old Steam games CTD immediately on launch

    I installed the Steam version of Bioshock Infinite and it ran great.

    Graphics are great and went as far as my first kill (a slicer), saved the game, exited completely and then opened my save

    All seems to work okay

    If the "Afterburner" is a overclocking program, games can be finicky

    Glad you figured out what was wrong...
