Windows 10: System Very Slow After Installing Win11 24H2

Windows Update recently installed Windows 11 24H2. Immediately, my system became nearly unusable. It took me over an hour just to get into settings and uninstall the update due to how totally unresponsive the system became. Now, even after uninstalling the update, I'm still suffering new adverse effects on performance. It's better than with 24H2 installed, but still a fraction of before the update. The system doesn't seem to actually go under stress anymore, it just hangs. The components never heat up and the fans never start.
