Windows 10: Copilot sandbox links in Windows chrome/firefox and android app links don't work!

I just subscribed to Copilot Pro and asked it to create a presentation. It did, but the sandbox link it provided to the file does not open. I am logged into the correct account, and the problem persists on Chrome and Firefox. I tried it using the Android app and had the same problem "invalid link". It also says it can't email the file to me. Please help.

Sandboxed Thunderbird won't open links in Chrome

Hi phrab. As you know maintenance of Sandboxie is right now down to only being looked upon major issues related to W10, and conflicts between Sandboxie and major browsers.

I am going to give you a list of suggestions for things you can try.. I never used Thunderbird but I think this problem was introduced by a Thunderbird update that broke compatibility. So, probably, the setting for Thunderbird in Sandboxie needs an update from the SBIE side. But I doubt that's gonna happen. So, here is the list of things you can try:

1. Delete contents.

2. Create a new sandbox and test TB using it with default settings. Dont copy settings from existing sandboxes.

If this fixes the problem opening links when you click them, then make sure to set Thunderbird as your EMail Reader in Sandbox settings>Applications>EMail Reader.

3. Change default browser from Chrome to Edge or Firefox.

4. Disable or better yet, uninstall browser extensions.

Even better if testing is done using a new Profile.

5. Go back to a TB version before Thunderbird 68.1. According to what I read, that TB update is the one that broke compatibility with SBIE. In the past, Sandboxie would develop a new setting to fix compatibility when broken by software updates, like this one from TB, but that's not gonna happen now.


Last, as a workaround, you can copy the link in the mails and paste them in a sandboxed browser. I know this is not nice and not what we are used to but by doing it like that, you are at least still running TB under SBIE.

Sandboxed Thunderbird won't open links in Chrome

Thank you for all your suggestions. I tried all of them except #4 (because I have a number of extensions that I want) & didn't try a new profile. I would just as well downgrade Thunderbird. However, despite googling for it, I cannot find a site that has version 68.0 (32-bit). Do you know of any?

P.S. I think I found it at Directory Listing: /pub/thunderbird/releases/. I'll post back if I have a problem. Thanks again.

I was trying the new copilot AI, and it gave me some weblinks I asked for. Unfortunately, the links open with edge instead of my default browser which is chrome. How do I change the browser that copilot links open to?
