Windows 10: Windows key and all shortcuts stopped working

Hello, please put this in terms easy to understand if you reply. I am not at all the sort of person to do programming/detailed bug fixing, so looking online for an answer has been incredibly confusing and difficult.My laptop [ASUS TUF GAMING F15] has been absolutely fine, and I did absolutely nothing to mess with how the keyboard works [no programs affect it, I only download games from Steam/Xbox/Microsoft, sticky keys and filter keys are OFF]. Yet suddenly since a short while ago [couldn't give an exact date I don't know when it began], the windows key does literally nothing. All shortcuts al

Windows 10 shortcut key not working - Please help

Hey guys,

I'm trying to create a shortcut key for a program/script that turns off my monitor. I've confirmed that the small program is working by double clicking on it. The problem I'm having is that when I go to create a shortcut key for it. First I create a shortcut to the program, then I set a shortcut key, say "ctrl-shift-s". After applying the changes, clicking Ok, I try to use the shortcut by pressing the ctrl-shift-s key combination. When I do this, nothing happens. I've confirmed that shortcut keys works with other apps like the Command Prompt. Does anyone have any insight to this?
