Windows 10: HP Wide Vision HD Camera not working

I have a problem with the camera. Previously, it worked fine, no failures were observed. However, at some point, the camera simply stopped working. When I open the Camera application, only a black screen is displayed, and the indicator on the laptop does not light up - the camera, apparently, does not turn on. The same thing happens in other applications - the camera does not work anywhere. I have already tried several solutions, and, as far as I can see, all the drivers are installed correctly, and the necessary permissions are given in the system settings.My laptop is HP Victus 16

If your HP Truevision HD camera is not working, it seems to me that the logical step is to contact HP. They owe you a working camera, right?

 

HP Truevision HD Camera Not Working

My HP Truevision HD Camera is not working. I turn on the "Camera" App and the camera light turns on but the screen is pitch black. I open the Cyberlink YouCam app and it displays the following warning "YouCam cannot connect to your webcam (HP Truevision
HD). I have tried the following steps to no avail:

1. Ensured I have the most up to date driver

2. Uninstalled camera via device manager and restarted the computer

3. I have turned off my McAfee Firewall and tried the camera again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That laptop is a HP ENVY x360 - 15m-dr1011dx and it has a standard fixed HP Wide Vision HD Camera, that cannot be rotated . . .
