Suddenly, the speaker is disconnected and no longer recognized.

Hello,I had been using Windows 11 without any issues, but recently my speaker stopped being recognized for no apparent reason. At first, I didn’t notice the issue because I was using a headset. However, when I tried to switch to the speaker, I found that it had completely disappeared from the list of output devices. To resolve this, I tried the following:Reconnecting the USB cableReinstalling the audio driversPurchasing a new speakerEven performing a full system reset on my PCDespite all these attempts, the speaker is still not being recognized at all.Since other devices are recognized when plu

  2. Audio suddenly swapped from speakers to monitor. PC no longer recognizes speakers and headphones as devices.

On August 26, 2020, my PC audio suddenly swapped from my speakers to my monitor. My PC no longer recognizes my speakers or headphones, and sees my monitor as the only available audio output.

I'm trying to boot up the Realtek Audio Control app to troubleshoot my audio issues but I'm met with "Can not connect to RPC service".

Looking online I found that I had similar issues as highlighted in
    this forum post
. I tried following the directions listed by Peer_Sam, but when looking at the list of local services he mentioned, I found I was missing "Realtek HD Audio Universal Service". I
suspect that this is a driver issue to do with Realtek because when going into Device Manager, usual Realtek audio software that I have isn't there.

This issue has happened before, around April of this year, it lasted around a month and a half before automatically fixing itself.

USB speakers no longer work on laptop

I have the latest updates installed with win 10.

No significant changes. No troubleshooting steps taken and no error message in device manager because win 10 doesn't recognize them. I used these speakers before and they worked fine. Apparently with the updates they are no longer recognized. They are
    Samsung USB speakers.

Suddenly, the speaker is disconnected and no longer recognized.

Windows 10 recognizes my UE Megaboom as a headset and not a speaker will not work?

    Hi Rachael,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I suggest you try the steps listed below and check if it works. This issue could be because of the Headphones BT SPEAKER Stereo being set as default. I suggest you to try the steps listed below and check if it works.

    • Pair the speaker with your PC.
    • Right click the Windows icon on the taskbar and choose
      Device Manager.

    • Expand Sound, video, and game controllers
and right click on your Bluetooth speaker (BT SPEAKER Stereo).
    • Choose Disable and acknowledge the confirmation popup. Wait for the screen to refresh.
    • Right click on the same device again and Enable.
    • Exit Device Manager and see if the issue persist.

    Regards,
