Windows 10: Child account stuck in Microsoft Family group with unknown organizer

Hello, I have a Microsoft account that’s under 13 and it was automatically placed into a family group with a person named “Q.” I do not recognize this organizer and I never joined their family. I am unable to leave the family group myself due to age restrictions, and I can’t accept a new family invitation either.I have already tried contacting Microsoft Support, but they told me to post here for the Family Safety team to help. Please help me get removed from this family group so I can join a trusted one.Is there anyways? Thanks

I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues removing your child's account from the unrecognized Microsoft family group. Unfortunately, the organizer who granted consent and added your child's email address is the only one who can remove it from the family group. If you don't recognize or remember using a different Microsoft account to create a family group, I would suggest creating a new account instead.

Cannot remove child account from Microsoft Family Group

I can see you have tried removing the child account already using the current organizer in your Microsoft Family. Allow me to offer assistance and troubleshoot this.

Do you remember if you have a different organizer or adult account in your Family group aside from the 2 accounts you have mentioned? If there is an organizer account before on your group and it is the one who gave consent to the child account, we will need to add the account back so it will be that account to remove the child account from the group.

Note: Only the adult who granted consent can remove a child account from the family group. If the adult cannot access their account, the adult or appropriate guardian should attempt to recover the adult account.

If you have access to the adult account that gave consent to the child account, you may follow the steps below to remove the account from your group:

1. Using a web browser, sign in to family.microsoft.com.

2. Click next to the person's name and select Remove from family group.

3. Select Remove to confirm.
