Windows 10: Window 11 File explorer and folder path bar

Hi,is there away to restore the old file pathing upper bar of window 10 when searching ?After searching for something, even after I found it and "open to file location", the file path bar still showing "Search result in {Folder}"Thanks in advance.

How to have full path always show in Address bar in file explorer?

You can change the Windows 11 File Explorer address bar to show the full file path by following these steps:

1. Open File Explorer.
   
2. Click on the three-dot menu icon located at the top right of the window.
   
3. Click on 'Options'.
   
4. In the 'Folder Options' window that appears, go to the 'View' tab.
   
5. In the 'Advanced settings' list, find and check the 'Display the full path in the title bar' option.
   
6. Click 'Apply', then 'OK'.

File explorer not displaying complete path for certain folders on Windows 11

I want to copy the file path of the download folder from the file explorer address bar. But even though I enabled the option to show the full path, there are a few folders that it refuses to show the full path for.

If I go to a random local file I get something like this in the address bar: C:\Users\user\Documents\Temp.

When I go to "Downloads" it only shows "Downloads". It should show "C:\Users\user\Downloads" but it does not, it only shows "Downloads".

If I right click the download folder in the navigation pane on the left and select copy as path I get \"C:\Users\user\Downloads".

If I select any file in the download folder and right click copy path it includes the "C:\Users\user\".

If I create a subfolder in downloads and go to that folder, the address bar then magically shows "C:\Users\user\" before "Downloads\New folder".

When I go to chrome settings, it lists the default download folder as "C:\Users\user\Downloads".

Why does the address bar not work? It is literally the only place I can find that does not show the full address and it's the literal address bar. How do I fix this? It's maddening.

I know there is a full file path, I've listed the billion other places it is used by Windows and third party apps. I know I can enter "Downloads\New folder" in the address bar and it will go there, I don't care, that does nothing to help me. "Downloads\New folder" does not work outside of file explorer so it should show the file path since that is the, you know, file path. For example, using automation anywhere to check if a folder exists returns no for "Downloads\New folder" and yes for "C:\Users\user\Downloads\New folder". I want to set up an automation that can download files on any computer and can extract the default download path from Chrome without changing whatever the user has as the default so I can then move the files, but I can't do so by copying the address bar if and only if that default folder is the downloads folder????
