Pincode problems. Windows is asking for a mail adres to sent a verification code. I never received a mail with a verfification code.

Verification codes do not show up in my mailbox

After my laptop got a new motherboard the pincode of my laptop was no longer available due to a change in the security settings of the device. To set a new pincode I have to log in with my microsoft account, using a verification code sent to my microsoft mailbox. However, the mail with the code never appears in my mailbox. Not even after 45 minutes.

Then I tried to log into my account with a mobile phone which did not have that account active yet, again with a verification code. That code also does not appear in my mailbox.

I checked the account page and there the correct @hotmail.com address is listed as being used for logging in to my Microsoft account.

Any suggestions?

I am continually being asked for a verification code.

I am continually being asked for a verification code. I can see it has to do with the two step verification process and I can't get to the page to turn it off. I have only one way of accessing the internet and the second step verification is sent to an
alternate email address. This requires that I log off one email address, in order to access the other. It is a loop. Please tell me how to fix it or fix it on your end.
