Windows 10: Windows 11 24H2 update fails with 0x80004005

Hi all,after trying multiple times to update to 24H2, it always fails at the same point with error 0x80004005 during the reboot,which appears to be related in my case to writing a new BCD store. The update always fails at 52% during the reboot where it should be applied. Already tried various suggestions as in https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/cant-updated-to-windows-11-24h2-error-0x80004005/d60bce02-cf7f-4256-90ba-c0ae85bc9515 to reinstall BCD by running bcdboot to rewrite the EFI partition. Also tried to run the 24H2 update directly from the ISO from the running syst

installation of Windows 20H2 has failed 0x80004005

The installation of Windows 20H2 has failed (current version 1909). After downloading from Windows Update site and ran it, it produced an error code 0x80004005 and suggested to try again. But that also failed.
The SetupDiagResults.log file shows the following error message
Error: SetupDiag reports abrupt down-level failure.

What does it mean and how can I succeed in installing the 20H2 version?
