    How to stop Onedrive cloud from deleting when i do locally


    Hey, i want to factory reset my pc but i have a problem, i uploaded a lot of files on my 100gb onedrive folder, after that i went on the onedrive site and they were all there, as a test i tried deleting one inside of my PC, in the "Files" app, and after that they weren't anymore on the "Cloud".How do i stop this from happening, does factory resetting my pc full reset, files deleted, also the "local" onedrive folder gets deleted delete my files from the Cloud, on the website/app, the one i can open from other computers.Thanks!

    Using OneDrive as cloud storage only - no local copies

    Actually it is local files mirrored to your Cloud Drive. If you need more space, you are going to have to use either a external drive on your network or a bigger drive in your computer. If you stop syncing to your local folder, you will have to use just the OneDrive Cloud folder and will risk losing any data if you lose connection, while working with a file.

    Dear Cerberus. Er - here's a picture of my OneDrive folder, if I can work out how to attach it to this! No cloudsigns or ticks in boxes, just a long list of files I want only in the cloud, not on the hard drive (but don't want to delete FROM the cloud!!)

    It's come up saying 'Attach=Config}347209[/attach] so I hope something appears when I post this! Very sorry - how do I make the ticks and cloud signs appear? BTW - there's more in that list than's appearing in the screenshot, that's why it doesn't look like that many files. Yours respectfully Chris.

    How to stop Onedrive cloud from deleting when i do locally

    Windows 10 - OneDrive

    Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

    If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.
