Windows 10: Microsoft password is incorrect, when in fact it is

I always log in to my PC using PIN, but when I restarted it it requested for microsoft password, with no sign-in options...... Tried resetting the password from the lock screen still didn't work, but worked on a different device....,..I've tried resetting a couple more times, I've tried all previous passwords,......tried restarting in Safe mode and it still brings me to the log in screen requesting for the password.......I'm locked out of my PC and I can't do any work,......any solutions please??

Like I said in the post before, I did not set up two-step verification. After the hard reset, when the account did not sync due to 'incorrect password', I tried to set it up and then accessed the MS Account with the app password but it still declared the
password incorrect. I immediately turned off two-step.

I have tried login in to my computer on Windows 10 but it shows password is incorrect. I have followed the steps indicated but it is still showing that the password is incorrect. Please advise.

  Are you using Microsoft or local account?
  

I would suggest you to press the eye icon on the password text box and check whether you have entered the correct password.

I would suggest you to use On-screen keyboard and try logging into your local account and check if it helps. Follow these steps.

1. On login screen click Ease of access button on bottom left corner of the screen.

2. Click on On-Screen keyboard (OSK).

3. Try entering the password using OSK and check.
