Windows 10: why aren't my keys working properly?

my lap top Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook - 2024 - Lightweight Laptop - Waves is doing something weird, my "brightness down" button is reloading pages, my "brightness up" button is doing what "alt" should, and my entire top row not numbers is messed up, I'm not to sure what caused this, I looked at keyboard shortcuts and then it happened, I shut down my computer, I reset keys, I did everything that would make sense.

Keys and key shortcuts not working properly

I am using windows 10, and since the last update, the x and z key aren`t working properly. i can only press them when i am pressing another key simultaneously.

also every time i try to use ctrl+c and ctrl+v, it does not always work, needing me to press a couple of times for it to work.

any ideas on how to solve it?

Do the apps work fine apart form the icons not displaying correctly? If so I would suggest you to run an SFC scan and check if it helps. If the issue persists you may run DISM command and check.

Follow this steps:

    Press Windows+X.
    
  • 
    Click on Command Prompt (Admin).
    
  • 
    Type the command SFC /SCANNOW and
    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and hit
    Enter.

The native apps from the system are all showing this strange square instead of the normal icons. Please help resolve this problem. Thanks
