    Hello team I met a strange issue recently, the clients of the newly installed or upgraded to WIN11 24H2 cannot access the specific NAS SMB server through the domain name, prompting that the network name cannot be found, it is working by using the IP address directly, one thing to note, the client obtains the IP through the NAS server delegation on the DNS server, we use Wireshark gathered the pcap and find the client received the right IP but tree connect not proceed and report error, and also tested the adding FQDN-IP entry in the host file can be accessed normally through the domain name, an

    How to solve problems with accessing, discovering and connecting to NAS with SMB connection from Windows 10

    I am experiencing difficulties with accessing, discovering and connecting to my NAS with SMB connection from Windows 10.

    I have tried most of the solutions suggest on the Web, but avail, none of them worked.

    • Enabling SMB v2 and restarting
    • Checking SMB v1 in Windows components is ticked on
    • Etc.
    It seems that Microsoft has broken something though their patches

    If anyone can supply me with a permanent/ final fix,
    not workaround, please post it here.

    I am hoping Microsoft themselves, is picking this question up, and taking this seriously, and will answer this urgently, as it is causing us all so much frustration.
