Windows 10: Unable to Update the June Cumlative update for Windows 11 KB506842

I have an issue with updating the 2025-06 Cumlative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems KB506842Every time we attempt to update it always springs the error code 0x80073712This is occuring on four user workstations.I have done the typical things ie. Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanupDism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealthsfc /scannowRestarted the workstation. Tried the update the patch from the Microsoft Update catalog Then deleted the Windows update cache C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DownloadWhen running the the command DISM /Online /Add-P

DirectX June Update

Microsoft has released an updated version of DirectX for June, although it isn’t clear whether the update is just for DirectX 9.0c or for DirectX 10 on Vista as well. Regardless of this, it is still recommended that Vista users update their systems because Vista will benefit from any DirectX 9.0c fixes when playing DirectX 9 games. The web installer is only for Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 (both 32-bit and 64-bit versions), whilst the redistributable version will also work with Vista. FIXED!! Windows 7 sp1 never ends searching for updates

They made it part of the WU client then, or it's two different things doing the same. Too bad you can't download it separately.

Windows Update Client for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2: June 2016
