    Hello,I would like confirmation and clarification regarding core-based licensing requirements for Windows Server Standard 2025 on my server, which has:2 × Intel Xeon Gold processors = 48 physical coresAccording to Microsoft's core licensing rules, every physical core must be licensed, with a minimum of 16 cores per server and 8 cores per CPU. The license is sold in 16-core packs. For this server, I have calculated that 3 × 16‑core packs are required to fully license all 48 cores.Is my understanding correct, and is 3 license packs indeed the minimum requirement for compliance?If I hypothetica

    I want to run windows server 2016 datacenter.

    The server`s CPU is 2 * 18 cores.

    When i purchase windows server 2016 datacenter, does it contain only one license?

    Should i purchase additional 35 core licenses?
