Windows 10: Fix Laptop Keeps Reverting Display Resolution to 1920x1200 on Startup windows 11

Hi,I have a laptop that defaults to a screen resolution of 1920x1200 every time I start it up. However, I prefer using 1680x1050, so I change it manually. The issue is that after every restart, the resolution resets back to 1920x1200, and I have to change it again.Is there a way to make 1680x1050 stay as the default resolution permanently, even after restarts?I’d appreciate any help or suggestions. Microsoft wireless display can't display 1920x1200 resolution

Does anyone know what's the maximum resolution supported by the MWDA v2? I have a monitor with 1920x1200 native resolution but in the display options, it only allows up to 1920x1080, with a recommended resolution of 1680x1050?

 

'active signal resolution' is 1200x1920. when display resolution is 1920x1200

I have a problem when I want to play dungeon keeper, the screen resolution changes. If I consult display settings I notice that 'active signal resolution' is set to 1200x1920 and the screen rotation is set to 270 degrees clockwise so effectively I get a
display resolution of 1920x1200, but when I run DOSbox only 2/3rds of the screen is visible and a message slides across informing me that the display resolution should be 1200x1920.

Display resolution keeps changing

Hi Rick,

It might be caused by a faulty driver that's why your display resolution keeps changing. We
suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the display driver, see steps below:

• Press Windows key + X and click on
  Device Manager.
• For graphics cards, expand the Display adapters category, right click your graphics card and select Uninstall.
• Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.
