My computer has dual 27" displays. I need both for some of the work I do, but most of the time I only use the primary display, and it seems stupid to have the secondary running and drinking power when most of the time it could just as well be asleep.I've found that I can configure Windows to "Remove display from desktop," which turns off a monitor's video signal. That makes the monitor go into low-power mode. Windows moves any windows on that monitor to the one that is still on, and when I turn the other monitor back on, it moves them back. This is perfect, except for the process required to do

    :)

  2. Triple display. How to quickly turn off two and leave primary active?

Hi all, so I've got three monitors and I'd like to be able to turn off/on two of them with some kind of script because I see no easy way within the display properties.

    I see the following options:

Duplicate desktop on 1 and 3
Duplicate desktop on 2 and 3
    Extend desktop to this display

My primary monitor is the one listed as #3 which is actually in the middle.
Any way to have something like "show only on 3" ?

    Any suggestions welcome.

Power setting turns display off as set but then it turns right back on

    Verna,

But you did not look at that tutorial's list of related tutorials for all the other
Add or Remove ... from Power Options - TenForumsTutorials
ones. That's what I suggested. The link to that particular tutorial was just a way in to the set of them.

And you'll find even more of the set by searching the list of tutorials.

Windows 10 dual monitor going back to single monitor display

    HI,

To isolate the issue, we have some questions for you:

    • When you tried to turn it back to single monitor, were there any changes made before?

    • Have you checked if the drivers are up-to-date?

    • What changes did you make in the Display Settings?

    • Aside from what you have mentioned, what other troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

We'll be waiting for your response.

    Regards.
