HP Deskjet 6940 printer has stopped printing color all of a sudden

Original Title: No longer printing color

I have an older HP Deskjet 6940 printer that has stopped printing color all of a sudden. There is ink in the cartridges and nothing else reports in error. I have tried all the suggestions here but to no avail. Any suggestions?

My HP 2514 printer will not print, but says cartridge missing -tri color., but will not print black either.

My HP 2514 printer will not print but says cartridge missing -tri color. I have not used a color cartridge for 5 years or so and have just had a black cartridge in the printer. All of a sudden, it will not print and sends the Ink Cartridge missing message. Prior to it sending this message, the black ink started printing with dark streaks. Cleaning the printer and re-aligning did not help.

 

Cannot print Word document in color

I've checked everything on my printer - all cartridges are full color included, cleaned , aligned and printing a test prints in color - but I cannot get my word document to print in color. I've checked properties, etc.
