I had a problem with Unity Player which is different from the UnityPlayer.DLL file problem. I play the online WGT Tour golf game which is also build on Unity Player. One day six months ago I started the game and Unity Player showed a dialogue frame with a fault code in the title bar and then the game vanish/crash. "WGT Golf - Unity 2022.3.23f1_dbb3f7c5b5c6" I searched all over for answers and it seems no one else got the problem. I even wrote to the Unity Player developers and got no answer. It also didn't want to run on STEAM. In the meantime, I played the game on the NOX emulator. {Not fun

Hi Daryl,

As an initial troubleshooting step I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall Unity Web Player from Programs and features and check the status of the issue.

To uninstall programs, go to Settings.

• On the Start menu, then select Settings.
• Select System > Apps & features.
• Select the program, then select Uninstall. Some apps that are built in to Windows can’t be uninstalled.
  
• Follow the directions on the screen.

As you have clearly described that the issue is with Unity Web Player not with game or browser and Unity Web Player is not developed by Microsoft. I suggest you to contact
Unity Web Player Support. Thank you.

 

d3d11.dll caused an Access Violation Error when loading unity games

Whenever I load a game that uses unity I get this error.

I've updated my drivers, restarted, rebooted, reinstalled all the games, run as admin but no difference.

This has only recently started happening.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

unity web player

yes, it is safe to uninstall.

it is old and is no longer supported by unity (which might be why there are only out-dated answers)

go to settings -> apps -> Apps & Features

locate Unity Web Player in the list of apps

click on it then click the Uninstall button
