Windows 10: Dear Sirs, Our Windows 2025 activation key was damaged when scratching off the silver...

Upon removing the silver covering of our Windows Server 2025 activation key part of the key was damaged and unreadable, how can I retrieve this?

Windows 10 product key damaged by terrible silver scratch off fail.

Attempting a clean install of Windows 10 Pro OEM. I am disappointed that the silver scratch off product key sticker had no instructions on how fragile it is or how to remove it. It is now unreadable. Microsoft's support with branching pre-determined answers
has been useless; both online and on the robot phone. After hours of trying to reach Microsoft I finally got to speak to a human. I couldn't understand a word he said. I explained my problem. He said a few things I could not understand, so I asked, "Can
you repeat that?". There was silence for about 2 minutes while I asked, "Hello? Am I on hold?" and then I was disconnected. I'm not a racist person but the ability to communicate in English seems essential to that particular job.

I would love to just email my question to Microsoft support, but it seems to be an unreasonable request. I'm considering snail mail. I'm frustrated that I gambled with a $140 scratch off ticket and didn't even know I was playing. I would've returned it
but was denied because it has been over 30 days.

Is it possible to get a replacement product key??? I feel like the silver scratch off sticker was a terrible idea on Microsoft's part and now I'm having to pay for their poor product design.

 

Windows 10 sticker with serial key damaged when scratched to reveal it.

I just bought a new computer with a win 10 64bit USB from a local computer store.

When installed windows 10 asked for serial I pressed activate later.

A few days later wanted to activate my windows 10 and started scratching the back of the sticker because it had a tiny grey patch over it. While scratching to reveal the serial number I damaged the sticker and can't
tell what are the first 4 numbers for the key, the other number are shown.
