Windows 10: Why am I getting a "DirectX 12 is not supported on your system" message while trying to...

Hey, I recently downloaded Ark: Survival Evolved from Steam onto my PC, but every time I load up the game, it gives me a message saying "DirectX 12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument." I have conducted some research into the problem, and it appears that my laptop should be compatible with the game I could be wrong, though. Here is some information about the laptop I have....Computer type: Dell Inc.   What happens when you try to play the games with the DirectX 12? Do you get any error message/code? If yes, then provide us the complete error message/code.
  

If you are unable to play games which doesn't support DirectX 12 then, you can manually download the supportable DirectX for the games.

Some games comes with the supported DirectX application embedded within the game's application, so that you can install it manually from the game.

You can also try to open the games in the compatibility mode.

Well that's not answer its just list of graphics cards that support Directx 12,or did you wanted to say there will be no improvements on graphics cards that doesn't support Directx 12?
