Windows 10: Windows 11 DVD Issues

I own a HP Windows 11 Laptop, I also own an old LG USB DVD Player from 2015. I was watching Shrek and I discovered these "InterActual" DVD features, so after doing some research I managed to install the InterActual Player. Everytime I boot it up, I get a "This app might not work correctly" message, and indeed, it isn't. I'm 99% sure it finds the DVD, as it changes to a shrek theme, yet it always says "The DVD navigator was not detected" and I can't use any of the features. How do I fix this? If I can't, should I try a Virtual Machine, or should I give up? What do I do?

Step 1: I suggest you to run Windows Media Player DVD troubleshooter.

Steps:

• Press Windows key, type troubleshooting
  and select it.
• Click on View all in the left pane.
• Click onWindows Media Player DVD and follow the onscreen instructions.

DVD Drive issues.

The games used to run, now apparently the disks don't even read.

Go to Device Manager and remove the DVD
Scan for hardware changes and update driver as OS suggests

Still not working?

1) Clean the heads.
2) Run a diagnostic program on the drive.

Nothing else has changed about your system aside from the OS?

Revert to XP Home, assuming you don't find the source of the problem in steps above.

 

Windows DVD player won't play a DVD

This issue sometimes occurs after you made any changes on your computer. For steps on how to resolve this, you may refer to the steps below:

Method 1: Run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter

Follow these:

• Press Windows key + W and type troubleshooting.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click Hardware and Devices.
• Follow the on-screen instruction to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2: Uninstall and reinstall the driver

We also suggest you try uninstalling the DVD drive drivers and check if it works for you.
Here are the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X key and click Device Manager.
• Right-click on the DVD drive listed and click on Uninstall.
• Select the option to Delete driver software.
• Restart the computer after it is uninstalled.
