    Issue with installing steam game


    currently facing an issue with steam where for some reason im able to install any game i want but one exact game Dead By Daylight i will non stop get a disk read error... i will let in install for about 5 minutes but than the disk read error pops up.... ive watched numerous youtube videos and clearing my steams catche but nothing seems to work...!?

    Cannot install a game through Steam

    I would like to replace it Windows 10 Home, however I am worried that I would need another license. Would this be the case?

    I have tried the Steam forums before, which includes the troubleshooting steps listed here. Its strange mostly because this has not happened with any other game installed through Steam except for this one.

    Hi,

    To assist you better, I would like to ask some questions:

    • Does the issue occur only with Steam games or all games?
    • Are you able to view videos?
    • What is the make and model of your computer?

    I suggest you to update the Graphic Card driver by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

    • Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
    • Expand Display Adapters.
    • Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
    • Follow the on-screen prompts to update the driver.

    due to a corrupt Steam Client.

    You can find help for reinstalling/repairing the Steam Client in your Steam...

    Help > Steam Support > Steam Client > Steam Crashes ( Click this tab for troubleshooting suggestions).

    - Some games require you to run Steams Verify Integrity of Game Files after each of the Win10 version\feature updates.
