Windows 10: Controller not Working With Minecraft Bedrock AND Minecraft Java

I'm having issues with my Nintendo Switch Pro Controller working in game. It works fine in the menu, but in game I can only move my camera, break and place blocks, and access the pause menu. In addition, the "A" button opens the chat menu. In the controller settings, it's just the default controller setup, but it does not work like it says in settings at all. Nothing I've found online works. Help.

Hello. I have a account that i am on right now that has minecraft bedrock edition but doesnt have minecraft java edition. could samebody help me?

If you have bought Minecraft before, you’re now getting the other edition for free. Woot! Follow these steps to redeem it:

Go to the Microsoft Store listing for Minecraft: Java & Bedrock for PC.

Sign-in to the Microsoft Store with your Microsoft account.

Once you’re signed in, instead of a “Buy” button you should see a button that says “Get.” Click this button – and now you own both editions!

HOW DO I RUN OR PLAY EITHER VERSION OF MINECRAFT?

Once you’ve completed the steps above, including logging into the Microsoft Store, you can now download the Minecraft Launcher.

To play Minecraft: Java Edition, download and install the correct launcher for your operating system. Sign into the Launcher using your Microsoft account, and you will be able to run Java Edition.
