Windows 10: Forced to use a PIN in Windows 11 – Why can’t I remove login authentication completely?

Hello,I’d like to raise a serious concern, both as a personal user and as someone managing small businesses that rely on Windows systems.During the setup of Windows 11, I was forced to create a PIN just to proceed, even though my intention was to use the laptop without any kind of login password or authentication at startup. There was no clear option to skip this step.Later, I tried to remove the PIN and disable login authentication completely, but Windows doesn’t allow it unless I switch to other sign-in methods. To disable the Microsoft account login to the system, follow the below steps:

Cannot login Windows after removing PIN

I appreciate the efforts taken by you in resolving the issue. I understand that you are unable to login to the computer after removing PIN. I’ll certainly assist you with this.



However, please let us know:

• May I know the steps that you have performed to remove the PIN?
  
• What is the make and model of the computer?
  

As you are unable to login to the computer through Safe Mode as well, I would suggest you to try performing a system restore and see if that helps.

from the article Recovery options in Windows 10.



Note: Restoring your PC won’t affect your personal files, but it will remove apps, drivers, and updates installed after the restore point was made.
