Windows 10: All devices under Sound, video and game contollers in the task manager are showing a code...

I have tired uninstalling and reinstalling all drivers, rolling back Windows to a previous version and downloaded the Realtech driver right from Realtech. This wasn't happening yesterday and I haven't installed any new software. I've searched for a solution with no luck. I have also run some repairs under the command prompt. Sound and microphone both not working. I even tried some headphones with no luck.Any ideas?

No audio device in device manager

You can't load drivers for a device that does not exist. So your first task is to find the sound device in the PC.

That sound device may not show in Device Manager because it is disabled in the BIOS, does not exist on the motherboard (highly doubtful), or is defective.

Your first step should be to get into BIOS settings to check for a sound device.
Find the Service Tag number for the machine and go to the Dell website and look for instructions for entering the BIOS. Check that you are using the correct F key.

While there, check the specs to see what it has for a sound device.

If you get into BIOS and the sound device is there and enabled and it still does not show in Device Manager then you can assume it is toast.

A dedicated sound card will then be your next best choice.
(Be sure to disable the defective sound device in BIOS if you go this route.

You could also install a video card with HDMI output and use the video driver to get sound.
Or, check the video driver for the (assumed) on-board graphics. That sound device should also be showing in Device Manager.

 

No Audio Driver Detected and No Sound, Video, and Game Controller tab in device manager.

I just got this laptop recently, it's Windows 11 and right now it's saying that my laptop has detected no audio output and input drivers. Tried to fix it in the device manager but the supposedly sound, video, and game controller is non-existent. It doesn't show any tab regarding audio. I tried the legacy hardware install but it errors too. I attached the screenshot below. What else can I do to download the audio driver and get my sounds back? Basically, I tried every step provided in the Microsoft support list to fix it but nothing changed.

 

Anyone else have no sound after installing Windows 10 build 10240?

I suggest you try the following steps:

Follow the steps mentioned below:

  Right on the start icon and click on device manager
  
• 
  Expand Sound video and Gaming , Select the Audio adapter, right click on un-install.
  
•
