Windows 10: Re-occurring Win11 BSOD DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION when utilizing NVIDIA GPU

Dear Community!I am running a laptop with Win11 installed and am experiencing in that order massive lag, crashing of the Task manager, a BSOD with always the same error message DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION after which the laptop restarts.I've experienced this consistenly in the following situations:- Playing any 3D game- Using my Nvidia graphics card for said gameI did a bit of googling to narrow down the cause of this, hence I tried around and found out that, whenever I use my NVIDIA graphics card for that game, the BSOD occurs after ca. 5 minutes.I do not have that issue when specifically usin

Problem with BSOD DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION (133)

I am experiencing a BSOD DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION (133) on my Windows 10 computer. It often occurs when I am listening to music through applications like Spotify. Here are the specifications of my computer:

• Intel Core i3 7100
  
• Gigabyte H110M-DS2
  
• Nvidia GTX 1650s 4GB GDDR6
  
• 8x1 DDR4 RAM 2133Mhz
  
• Aerocool PSU 500W 80+
  
• HDD 500GB
  

Before the BSOD occurs, I usually experience stuttering while listening to music.

BSOD after the NVIDIA GPU is activated

For the past month i've been struggling with an issue on my laptop, related to its GPU.

Whenever my NVIDIA GPU and the Intel GPU are activated, and the NVIDIA GPU isn't under stress for about 5 minutes, (by "under stress" I mean using programs that require detailed graphics and a lot of graphical processing) the BSOD will appear showing the
message error "NMI_HARDWARE_FAILURE".

Somehow I've tackled the issue of the BSOD by deactivating the NVIDIA GPU and solely use the Intel GPU, whenever I feel the NVIDIA GPU isn't required for my actions.

Even so, it is annoying to have to activate/deactivate the NVIDIA everytime i need it.

I have already used programs such as WhoCrashed and BlueScreeView to understand better the causes of these crashes. Those programs say that the leading cause of the BSOD are the files "hal.dll", "ntoskrnl.exe" and "PSHED.dll".

I would like to know if there is a way to correct these errors and how should I proceed to correct them.

My laptop specs are:

Acer Aspire 7 A715-72G-79XK

CPU: Intel i7-8750H

GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630 and NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1050

RAM: 16GB

 

can't upgrade to 1903 - now Nvidia driver gets DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION BSOD

I've had 1803 for a very long time and it never was able to successfully upgrade to 1903.

The error was

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0xC1900101: Feature update to Windows 10, version 1903.

The most recent Windows update now causes my machine to get DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. I found that if I unplug my monitor from NVidia GT 710, the error and BSOD goes away. I tried removing and reinstalling the MIcrosoft recommended driver and the BSOD came
back.

So I removed the driver and have plugged into the builtin DVI port, so I only get 1980x1080, instead of 4K resolution.

So is there a way to force the upgrade to 1903? If I do will that resolve the DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION BSOD?

Any other suggestions?
