Windows 10: how to install xbox tcui

Hi how to install xbox tcui when microsoft store say i dont have truned widows update if works fine And i cant install it from local files from another pc power shell shows i need license I dont want to reinstall windows

no luck after the uninstall and restart then the install and restart i was still unable to install the game bar app but able to install the xbox tcui no issue

I understand that some steps ae done to try to resolve this issue and that you have tried downloading the drivers from the Microsoft Update Catalog. For us to help you in resolving this issue, may we ask you to do the following?

• Unplug the XBOX cable from the computer.
• Restart your computer.
• Plug in the XBOX cable and check if it will try to install the adapter.

If the above step won't work, I suggest you to follow the suggestions by
Andre Da Costa in below article and check if it resolves the issue.

Version 1709 - XBox Live / TCUI


Hello Shawn,

Under Version 1709 I have just noticed two new [unrequested] entries:

Xbox Live in Settings | Apps & features
Xbox TCUI in Windows Store | Downloads and Updates.








Interestingly, the following commands worked fine, at least for me, to remove both of them (actually the -allusers string did the work, but I got no red message from the other).

Get-appxpackage -allusers *Xbox.TCUI* | Remove-AppxPackage
Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like "*Xbox.TCUI*"} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
