Windows 10: laptop freezing / have to force restart

done multiple tests and found that its a driver related issuei have ddu uninstalled old drivers to update to current versioni have two screenshots of drivers herei factory reset my laptop, reinstalled windows ; and my laptop freezes every 5-10 minutes

Laptop freezes on restart

Laptop freezes on restart even after a clean Windows install. Began after an update a few months ago, I dont remember which. Shut down works. Fast startup is off, bios is up to date.

Any suggestions?

Hello,

I have had this problem since day one with windows 10 and its about to force me back to windows 7. Random times when working on my laptop it will just freeze. If there is something playing be it music or youtube it will make a god awful noise through the speakers.

My laptop is an older laptop and dell says it does not support windows 10. I upgraded all my drivers including the bios.

Any other suggestions or is this a live with it or downgrade?

I have not tried a clean install yet. Would prefer not to if possible but it may be a last resort.

When I force a shutdown from a cmd prompt, laptop shuts down and then hangs when trying to reboot, so it seems the freeze is possibly related to startup after a complete shutdown. But it does not freeze when selecting shut down from the start menu, which
leads me to believe its not actually shutting down and fast startup is still on even though I have it deselected.
