Windows 10: my headphones don’t have sound when the sound and microphone are both enabled on pc

When my headphones that have a built in mic are plugged in with the headphone and the mic activated don’t output any sound even though it shows sound happening in settings. My mic also doesn’t work which is weird because on different devices it does. Also just for some info when I have only my headphones enabled I can hear sound just fine but with mic in it’s different and when the headphone jack in my pc is at a certain height in the connector it everything suddenly works. Let me know if I need to give you any other information for you to be able to solve this problem I have

My headphones produce microphone sound, not the headphones sound

So, my PC plays microphone quality sound into my headphones, and when i want to switch to my normal headphone sound, it produces no sound at all.

 

Headphone, earphone and microphone are not in Sound Control Panel.

Windows 10 64 bit








Stereo mix and line & mic at front or rear panel don't work too.

I somehow managed to get my headphone to play the same thing as my speaker at the same time but that's as far as i got.

 

Stereo Bluetooth Headphones do not reproduce stereo sound

Bluetooth 4.x headsets (headphones with microphone) have two modes:
1. Stereo headset speakers with NO microphone
2. Mono headset speakers with microphone

I see in the listing for your headphones it shows a microphone. Make sure your the audio is configured correctly so that you have stereo headphone speakers.

With your headphones connected with Bluetooth

Left-click on little speaker (bottom right on desktop)





You should see current speaker for computer
In this example headphones in stereo is selected





If you click on Headphones you will bring up all options

Right-click on little speaker (bottom right on desktop)





Select Sounds from list





If you want Stereo Headphones but NO microphone

Select Playback tab
Make sure Headphones is the current playback device





Select Recording tab
Make sure Microphone array (or similar) is the current recording device
