Windows 10: How to retrieve my webpage shortcuts after installing Windows 11

We got new PCs at work and updated to Windows 11. I have many websites saved as shortcuts. Now none of them will work. They show up as a "white paper" and do nothing. If I go to properties, some do have the website imbedded, most of them do not. Any of them that do work I've resaved them or IT retrieved some of them from my old PC no longer have the webpage icon. All show up with a generic Chrome symbol. This is very frustrating.In Properties, they show Target Type & Location as ApplicationTarget example : "C:\Program Files x86\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome_proxy.exe" --prof

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

I was able to do all these things that you explained with W7 and prior versions but not with windows 10. Only option I get when I right click on a webpage is "select all" and "print". Sure I can right click on the desktop and paste a url but that's not what
I want.

Is there other way to do this?

Hi, I am having no success with any of the above instructions when trying to create a desktop shortcut for any websites. When I right click the dialogue box which appears it does not display a "create shortcut" option as was shown previously with windows
7. There are only three options in this box; Select All, Inspect Elements, View Source. When I try to drag the icon at the left end of any website address bar, comes across to the desktop but disappears immediately I release the right click. It is also
accompanied with a small red circle with a bar across it. (which I presume is telling me this is not allowed?)

I am not certain but am guessing the only way would be to close the webpage then opt out of the Microsoft edge browser to view in internet explorer 11 or whatever browser you were using before the upgrade. try to find the web page you were previously on
and "create shortcut" then close the webpage and go back or opt forward into Microsoft edge browser and wait for them to correct this deficiency. I have not tried it yet but am only assuming this will work. I like the Microsoft edge very much and this is one
of the few flaws I've found.
