  1. How do i stop Windows from automatically switching audio output when i plug in a new one

Hello, I would like to start by saying that disabling a certain audio device is not the preferred method. I want a permanent fix.Every time i plug in a device that could be an audio device, Windows automatically assumes i want to use that as my audio device. My PC very often switches from one docking station to another. I want to have it set that it ALWAYS uses the built in headphone jack.Disabling the audio device is not an option because i would have to do that 100+ times. How do i guarantee that it permanently uses the built in headphone jack instead of a monitor that it detectsI've searched

    :)

  2. When Windows detects a new audio output device, it automatically selects it as the audio output

Hello, my issue lies with sound settings. Specifically, the fact that when a new audio output device is detected by Windows, it changes the system's audio output to the new device. However, this is irritating for me as I would rather do this myself as and
    when I need to.

Example: I wear a headset when using my device but I also use other devices which could be used as an audio device, though I do not use them as such. Whenever I plug these devices in, the audio output always changes from my headset to the other
    devices.

I would like guidance on how to stop Windows from automatically changing this. If this is not possible, I request this be added into the sound settings as it's very irritating.

  3. How to stop Windows 10 from switching audio devices AUTOMATICALLY when I plug in my controller?

Every single time my controller dies (DualSense 5 and DualShock 4 both do this) and I plug it in, the audio device switches automatically to the controller, both Microphone and Audio Output because in its description it says "USB Audio Device" for some reason (Properties > Details > Device Description > USB Audio Device). I have to disable the same controller EVERY TIME. How do I stop Windows 10 from switching devices automatically? I don't want Windows 10 to switch devices without my consent at all. I want to have all the control over my devices. Again, I'm not asking "How to disable a device" or "How to set a device as default". I have to disable the controller every single time I plug it in (with restarts and a few days inbetween). I'm asking how to stop windows from automatically switching devices. I'm comfortable editing registry if needed.

Latest Windows 10, got 2 audio devices plugged in already, one to mobo, one to my soundcard. I have a feeling the issue is the controller's description in Windows 10, in which case Windows 10 should learn the difference between a controller and a usb speaker.

  4. How do i stop Windows from automatically switching audio output when i plug in a new one

Audio doesn't automatically switch between headphones and laptop speaker output

Not sure when or why this happened, but my Surface Laptop running Windows 10 no longer automatically switches between audio output sources (headphones and built-in Surface Laptop speakers). If I have sound playing and no headphones plugged in, the sound
will continue to play through the Laptop after plugging in the headphones. The Laptop is recognizing the headphones, because I can right click the sound icon in the tray and select "Headphones", and the audio then switches. And vice versa.

I've already tried uninstalling and updating the audio driver (Realtek High Definition Audio), running the audio troubleshooter, and disabling the driver and re-enabling, none of which have solved the issue.
