Windows 10: SSRS Service Crash with .NET Fatal Error and HTTP 503

We are experiencing a problem with SQL Server Reporting Services SSRS when generating a report. Users encounter this error in the web interface: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: An unknown error occurred while processing the request on the Server. Specific Website Error 503; Works on Smartphone/Mobile.

FWIW I can see the site on FF & Edge.
As you can see also on 1903.

Can you access it when booted into Safe Mode with networking?

Might be some way the site regards traffic - your smartphone via a mobile connection will have a completely different identity and origin.

Does access fail in the same way if you use your phone via your router (wifi)?

KB4457131 Breaks SSRS Web Portal URL

I have not found any information on this so I decided to create my own post. I have applied KB4457131 security roll up to 3 separate environments which resulted in the same behavior; breaking the SSRS Web Portal URL resulting in a 503 error. The Web Service
URL still works, it just breaks the Web Portal URL (where you manage SSRS reports).

Resolution:

1. Uninstall the security update

2. Remove Web Service URL

3. Apply Web Service URL

Re-applying the Web Service URL will fix the Web Portal URL.

 

Fatal Error

I've been trying to format my system but right after it finishes formatting I get a Fatal Error during the Windows installation process. That Fatal Error is a Data Error (cyclic redundancy check). I know that it's because of my hard drives, but how do I fix this issue? I have 2 Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB SATA II Hard Drives in RAID 0. Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. *Smile
