Windows 10: Why does my new Windows 11 require me to push the Windows key with the PrintScreen key for...

I do PrintScreens a lot to grab images that I crop in my old Jasc Paint Shop Pro to post on Facebook. But when I finally updated to Windows 11 on my desktop HP EliteDesk 800G1 PC last month, the PrintScreen button wouldn't work. It did something weird but I forget what that was I finally found with Bing's help that I needed to push the Windows key with the PrintScreen key for it to work. I had to stick a Post-It note on my monitor's frame to remind me of this. So, can this be fixed with a Setting somewhere? It's totally hard for me to believe that this was done to everyone for some odd reason

Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?

 

Windows 8.1 pro + WMC key activation

It does not change the windows 8 key, it gives you a new WMC key, which overides the installed windows 8 key as far as i read.

Google and download the "Windows 10 media creation tool"

Create a USB flash drive ISO and that's all you need...it will work without needing a key..
Just skip past entering a key during full install and delete all partitions, format, create new drive and install...

As long as you have upgraded from Windows 8 first...you need to do that prior to using your Windows 8 key for 10.
