Windows 10: No Achievements Unlocking on Xbox Minecraft — Java

Hi, I recently bought Minecraft and have played for a few hours enough to try things like opening the inventory and doing other basic stuff.I’m pretty sure I’ve done some of the things that are supposed to unlock achievements, but nothing appears.I only have one unlocked achievement, "Getting Wood", dated October 1st, 2024, and another one showing 6% progress — but easy achievements like smelting iron or opening the inventory aren’t showing up.Is this normal? Do achievements only work on the Bedrock Edition?

Is your PC connected to Xbox Live? Run a test by going into Settings>Gaming>Xbox Live.

Another reason that achievements may not unlock for games downloaded from the Windows Store is that some Windows or Xbox Live services may have been disabled by another program that you are not aware of. I found a thread
on the Minecraft forums that has the steps on how to make sure those services are enabled.

Follow the steps on that thread and let us know if that fixed the problem!

 

Achievement unlocked in-game but not on the Xbox profile

I've unlocked every achievement in Microsoft Minesweeper but one of them didn't unlock on my Xbox profile.

So far I've tried redoing the steps leading to the achievement, reinstalling the game, logging out of my Microsoft Account and re-logging in again afterwards.

The problem seems to be that my in-game achievement data is locked onto my profile, so even if I try to log in on another Lumia and install Minesweeper, it will still show 20/20 achievements earned in-game.

I have a Lumia 635 and my GT is Purple DinDono

 

Windows 10 Achievements not popping/unlocking/showing.

I posted this over on the Xbox Support Forum but I figured I would try here as well.

Figured I would attempt support with this.

Played Minecraft Win 10, Disney Infinity Win 10 and Minecraft Story Mode Win10. On both Disney and Minecraft Story got to a point that an achievement should unlock, it did not. Played it straight from the direct app. Uninstalled
games and reinstalled. Logged out of the xbox app. Logged back into the xbox app, launched the games from within the Xbox app. Played the games to the same point, still no achievements.

Rebooted computer, Removed games again, reinstalled and tried again. Still no achievements unlocking/displaying/anything really. The games DO show on my profile so they are registering that I am playing them.

Not sure if the Win8 solution applies to Win10. Note, 3 achievements have unlocked for Disney Infinity 3.0 as of last week but now it is like they do not exist. Have not attempted on a different computer or my surface yet.

Any other tips/ideas?

I have not removed the Xbox App yet, that was going to be my next step.
