Windows 10: Can not access desktop fromtwo laptops

I have three computers. 1-Desktop-win11--2-Laptop A-win11--3-Laptop B-win10. Both laptops can see each other, and the desktop can see both laptops. All three can read and write to the D drive on both laptops. The problem is NEITHER LAPTOP SEES THE DESKTOP? I am trying to read and write to the D drive on the desktop from the laptops. I have read somewhere to try the run command typed from the laptops --- \\ABC-deft not desktop name, but I get this message--AN EXTENDED ERROR HAS OCCURRED--Any simple getting old help is welcome.

Laptops cannot access desktops via WIFI

I have 3 desktops (all on Windows 10 1803) connected on my LAN. After following this forum for some times and did all the steps as suggested by forum member, access denied, all my desktops are able to view and access one another. I have a printer connected to PC1, and managed to connect all the other 2 PCs to have the shared printer.

I also have 2 more laptops (both Asus with the same Windows 10 1803) connected via WIFI. Performed all the same steps as per the desktops, but I was not able to access PC1. I was able to view all the 3 desktops from the file explorer, but I just can't access all the desktops. However, I was able to access the Asus laptops from desktop PC1.

Anyone able to assist on this matter? Any assistance is highly appreciated.

 

LAPTOP is not accessible ..... Access is denied.

I am trying to share a folder on a LAPTOP. I have other a number of other systems that have folders Shared and they work fine, but with this one I get the error "LAPTOP is not accessible ..... Access is denied." when I try to access it from a different Win10 system. So I went thru the entire "How to Share Files and Folders Over a Network in Windows 10" tutorial step by step. File and Print Sharing is enabled, SMB1.0 client & server are running, and Everyone has Full Access to the Share. Still get the error. I have tried it with the Network Public and Private, with the same result. Any suggestions ? Microsoft Windows 10 Home Version 10.0.19042 Build 19042

 

Desktop can access mapped laptop folder but not v.v.

I have a desktop and a laptop computer connected via ethernet. With each, I have mapped a folder from the other computer. Until recently, this worked for both computers. I've just recently installed a new router, which may or may not have something to do with the problem. On the desktop, I can still access the mapped laptop folder. However on the laptop the mapped desktop folder shows on a file listing with a red "x", and if I try to access it I get an error message saying "the network path was not found. This connection has not been restored." From the command prompt, entering "net use" shows the status of the drive as "Unavailable". I tried/verified the following:

• Checked that the desktop folder being mapped is shown as "Shared"
• Temporarily disabled my anti-virus software (Avast)
• Ran Windows in Safe Mode with Networking
• Verified that ControlPanel > Programs&Features > FeaturesOn/Off > SMB 1.0 was checked (autoremoval not checked). [I'll try disabling SMB1 after the problem is solved.]
• Checked that Function Discovery Resource Publication is running.

Any suggestions as to what to do next? Windows 10 Home v. 21H2
