    PC keeps on going black screen when playing GPU intensive games


    Hi, I've encountered black screen during gaming. Sometimes on valorant, the screen will freeze first and then goes to black screen. My Specs are Aorus B550i, r5 5600, 3060ti, 16gb ram, 600w flex PSU, Windows 10. The system can withstand 20 mins furmark and 2 heaven benchmark test. I also tried cinebench multi core and single core test, and they can pass thru it.     I would suggest going back to at least the October version:

    Hi People,

    I built my own PC and its been running great for 2 years.

    Using an SSD for OS and boot, and 1TB black drive for games and programs.

    I recently installed "Heroes of Newerth" for some giggles. I dont believe it is a highly intensive game on the GPU but i get some crazy crashes on my pc.

    Pretty much Ill be running HoN and Skype and both screens just go black, no sound or beeps, no error, nothing.

    My keyboard nad mouse lights are still on.

    My keyboard has multiple user levels, (4) each have different colour lights, but none of the user levels work, which makes me think the driver is not running on that, so maybe the pc has 'mostly' crashed.??

    Ive done a SMART test and all good
    Done a memory test (windows) and 100%, no errors found.

    Aside from this i dont know what the next step is.

    Usually i solve these on my own, but since there is no error I can't even google tog et something more sepcific!

    ideas anyone?

    Thank you for the reply and here are the answers below:

    - Black screen could happen right after I start the PC or could happen 5-10 minutes into gaming. The games I play: Minecraft and Heros of the Storm. I do not know if those games qualify as GPU intensive. When I play them there is not much of GPU fan noise. Black screen happens everyday.

    - Black screen is literally black screen. Monitor shows sign "Entering power saving mode" and then remains black as if unpowered. Keyboard is still lit and PC is still powered.

    The DMP file that I shared has date of March 2024 in Windows. So I do not know if it is still relevant, but this is the only file that I found in the minidump folder.
