Dolby Vision is a premium HDR format with strict hardware and software requirements. Windows fails to recognize it when one of these requirements isn’t met. The issue isn’t that Windows is broken, but that the communication chain between your GPU, cable, display, and OS is incomplete or misconfigured. In this post, we are going to […]

Change label BT2020RGB or P2020 as Dolby Vision

    Greetings!

I was having issues enabling Dolby Vision on my Windows 10. After following this article

HDR settings in Windows - Microsoft Support

I ran DxDiag Report. I found out that Windows 10 was telling me that my display was set to HDR, but when I went to DxDiag report I found out that I was not on HDR but Dolby Vision. The problem is that my Apple TV is able to display Dolby Vision logo when
the media supports it, but windows 10 does not display Dolby Vision logo at the time of using this setup. My diagnostic stated that Dolby Vision was operational but windows 10 display setting did not say this.

I would like to ask Microsoft to add Dolby Vision logo when this is enabled instead of displaying HDR. I also would like to have the option to go to display setting and choose between HDR, HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision.

    Thanks

  3. Dolby Access not recognizing Dolby Visions Extensions on my Windows 11 laptop after doing system restore?

I have installed the Dolby Vision Extensions on my PC, but the Dolby Access app is still showing an error message that says, "To enable Dolby Vision, please install the Dolby Vision Extensions on your PC." Even though I have already installed the extensions, the app doesn't recognize them. I have checked for updates, restarted both the Dolby Access app and my PC, and even reinstalled the app, but the error persists. This issue started happening after I performed a system restore and updated my drivers through the AMD website. I would greatly appreciate assistance in resolving this problem so that I can successfully enable Dolby Vision on my PC. Thank you for your help.

Dolby Access not recognizing Dolby Visions Extensions on my Windows 11 laptop after doing system restore?

    Hello, Atharv Sonar

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

May I ask if you've installed all these 3 apps: Dolby Access, Dolby Vision and Dolby Vision Extensions?

Dolby Access - Microsoft Store Apps

Dolby Vision - Microsoft Store Apps

Dolby Vision Extensions - Microsoft Store Apps

By the way, Dolby requires a licensed device: Licensing - Dolby Professional. Make sure your license is still valid.

Also, check if your device still meets the requirements, as some settings may have been changed when you restored your system and updated the drivers.
