  2. gigabyte control center issues

    Hi Ahmed H. Al-Khars,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with the Gigabyte Control Center. Let's try to troubleshoot and address each of your concerns:

    1. Issues with Minimizing Windows and Games:

    - Check for conflicting software. Some third-party applications or overlays can interfere with the proper functioning of system control software. Try disabling or uninstalling any such software temporarily to see if the problem persists.

    - Verify if your graphics drivers are up to date. Visit the official website of your graphics card manufacturer to download and install the latest drivers.

    - Disable Overlays: Some overlay features in GCC might conflict with other applications. Try disabling any overlays or additional features.

    - Compatibility Mode: Right-click on the GCC executable and choose "Properties." Under the "Compatibility" tab, try running it in compatibility mode for an older version of Windows.

    2. GCC not detecting RAM, CPU cooler, and fan control:

    - Make sure you have installed the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard. These drivers are crucial for proper communication between hardware components and control software.

    - GCC Permissions: Run GCC as an administrator. Sometimes it needs elevated permissions to access hardware information.

    3. PC Overall Performance:

    - If your PC performance is slow, it might not be directly related to the Gigabyte Control Center. Check for other factors such as background processes, unnecessary startup programs, or malware.

    4. Contact Gigabyte Support:

    - If the problems persist after trying the above steps, consider reaching out to Gigabyte's official support. They may provide specific guidance or updates related to your motherboard and software.

I hope this helps. If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Your Sincerely

Windows Media Center Live TV Help

    Hi

go here - Hauppauge | Page Not Found select "Windows Media Center install" tab

look at - Setting up your TV tuner in Windows 7 Media Center - select download (will open a pdf with screen by screen instructions)
    "Download
Here is a screen by screen view of the setup of Windows Media Center. It was based on the WinTV-HVR-1600, but the setup with other WinTV-HVR products will be similar."

Follow the guide stage by stage

let the TPU community know at what "step" Media Center gets stuck at Example: step 1, step 2

nb: It may be to do with your zip code and or post code not being entered

In regard to your DVD Rom drive - go to -control panel/device manager/DVD/CD-ROM drives -make a note of the make and model number Example: Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-215D ATA Device - highlight the device you have installed -press right mouse button-select properties-details-property and select Install Date from the drop down list and let us know this.

    atb (all the best)

  4. Gigabyte Control Center not workingin Windows 11

Unable to open Gigabyte Control Center after Windows update KB5034843 (OS Build 19045.4123)

OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Home

    Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045

    System Name AORUS

    System Manufacturer GIGABYTE

    System Model AORUS 15P KD
    Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz, 2304 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)

Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 16.0 GB

I am running Windows 10, and have installed Gigabyte Control Center (22.12.20.01) since performing a clean install.
This has worked until recently, where it simply failed to open after performing the latest Windows update.

I then reinstalled the device, where I tried both Windows 10 and Windows 11 and at some point it will fail after getting the very latest Windows updates installed.

Now I have been running this W10 since a couple weeks without any issue (so Gigabyte Control Center opening and doing it's thing).
    UNTIL TODAY!

I once again performed the latest Windows update and again Gigabyte Control Center is no longer opening.
Update which has been installed is February 29, 2024—KB5034843 (OS Build 19045.4123) Preview / February 29, 2024—KB5034843 (OS Build 19045.4123) Preview - Microsoft Support

I have tried to uninstall the update AND the Gigabyte software, but I am unable to simply get it to work again.
Only thing I have been able to do is to perform another clean install.

Googling/Binging/Redditting and so doesn't give me any answers, but I am sure I'm not the only one!
Gigabyte Control Center is sketchy (to say the least) but the basics just work and that is what I need.

So please refrain from posting anything that just says to uninstall it. Gigabyte Control Center is doing a good job with management of the battery if you let it do its thing.

Any guidance, troubleshooting, tips or the effective solution would be highly appreciated!
