Windows 10: Email transfer from EUDORA to THUNDERBIRD

since Eudora doesn't work anymore, I'm trying Thunderbir, so I transferred the emails with "ImportExport Tool". Moving Eudora to Thunderbird

Apparently the time has come to let go of Eudora (7.0.1), which breaks my heart because nothing I've seen in the decades that I've been using email even comes near it. However, I want to move my email to ProtonMail, as it's much more secure. I was hoping Eudora could remain my client, but no go. The one thing required is the ability to set the incoming and outgoing ports, and Eudora lacks that capability, so it's either stay with unsecured email or move to something else. Thunderbird apparently has the required capability, and I know it was built on Eudora. What I want to know is what features Thunderbird lacks and how hard it is to get used to it. As an aside, will Tutanota work with Eudora? I'd rather change email providers than say goodbye to Eudora. Windows 10 Version 21H1 (build 19043.1586)

 

Sync my Nokia mail with Eudora or Thunderbird?

There are more email clients out there than Outlook and Lotus. Unfortunately the Thunderbird add-on NokSync only syncs contacts, not email.

Is there a way to synchronse my mail between my S60v3 phone and Eudora or Thunderbird?

If I can't sync my phone with anything other than Outlook or Lotus then those in charge of Nokia PC Suite deserve to get their [censored by forum bot] kicked even more than they already do.

 

Moving Eudora to Thunderbird

Thunderbird no longer supports importing Eudora data, but you may be able to overcome that by installing the last Thunderbird version that did and then updating to the current version. Just google Thunderbird 31.6.0. It's an old (2015) 32-bit version, but updating to 64-bit wasn't a problem. Not guaranteeing it will still work, but it did when I switched from Eudora to Thunderbird a few years ago.
