    V.1803 & File History..

I was under the impression that the File History function would be deleted when v.1803 was implemented. File History hadn't been working for many months under v.1709. After installation, I saw that File History was still in Settings under Backup. It was turned off, but was able to be toggled on and it listed the old default set of folders. I added some user folders of my own and the service began backing up things. I have File History set to back up every 30 minutes and the service rises to the top of the Task Manager list and the source and target drives become active. After I see that it is indeed working properly, I'll probably set the interval back to every hour.

    :)

File History not backing up any files

    Hello Victor

Thank you for the response. I had already checked that thread, but it hasn't helped me:

    • The thread deals with Windows 8's implementation of File History, which is somewhat different to that of Windows 10.
    • Most of the thread deals with setting up File History (which I have already done, precisely following the recommended steps). The third link in the thread might have been useful since it appears to link to a page that deals with troubleshooting File History
(as opposed to setting it up), but unfortunately the link is dead.
Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    • Right-click on the highlighted files and choose Properties.
    • Go to Security tab.
    • Click on Advanced.
    • Select all the user account that you don't want to have access on your File History folder.
