Windows 10: Scroll wheel (to zoom) in windows photo is no longer responsive

Discus and support Scroll wheel (to zoom) in windows photo is no longer responsive in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; After searching, I could not find a thread that addressed the issue that I am having.     Scroll wheel (to zoom) in windows photo is no longer responsive


    After searching, I could not find a thread that addressed the issue that I am having.


    The scroll wheel after 8 or 9 turns will zoom in by about 15% and then stop (and switching photos is no longer possible after this).

    The mouse and scroll wheel are fully functioning in all other applications. The program change occurred with a past update (not the most recent)

    I have tried resetting and reinstalling.

    Windows 10 Photo Viewer - Can't zoom in/out of photo using mouse scroll wheel

    Hi,

    Using the mouse scroll wheel to zoom in/out of the photo is one of the great features in Photos app. However, this function isn't available in Windows 10 Anniversary update. May we know which version of Windows 10 are you using?

    How to reset the Scroll Wheel to Zoom again instead of viewing next photo

    1. Open the Windows Icon (lower left) and scroll through the list of apps
    2. Open the PHOTO app
    3. Select the “three dot” icon in upper right corner …
    4. Select SETTINGS from the pulldown menu
    5. Look under Viewing and Editing Section, the Mouse Wheel Subsection
    6. Select “Zoom In and Out” instead of “View Next or Previous Item”

    I know this is an older post, but Google still ranks it high, thus my update. Microsoft gave us the ability to set the Mouse Wheel to either Zoom or Scroll to next image:

    1. Open the Windows Icon (lower left) and scroll through the list of apps
    2. Open the PHOTO app
