  1. Changing Microsoft Remote Desktop Port from Default TCP 3389 to TCP 110.

Hello, I have a Windows 10 PC I am connecting to on my Macbook using the Microsoft Remote Desktop app.

It works fine on port 3389 with the port open on my PC and Router and my Mac configured to connect to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:3389. But the second I open the port 110 on my PC and router and tell my Mac to connect to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:110, Microsoft Remote Desktop just gets stuck on "Configuring Remote Connection"

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

    :)

Windows 10 Remote Desktop Change Port Problem

Windows 10 RDP works with standard port 3389. I have been trying to change a to a NEW port for additional security. I have done the standard changes and entered the NEW TCP port via regedit "TCP port". I have also changed my router NAT to the NEW port.
I have changed the logon to include the NEW port. I have rebooted the W10 host and W7 remote client. I have tried different unused ports. The RDP logon always fails unable to locate.

Any ideas? Has anyone done this successfully in W10?

  3. Looking for IIS real time TCP viewer, Logger

Can anyone suggest a free real time TCP viewer-logger?

    Later edit:
Currently I have TCP view from microsoft. It would be nice if it was sort of the same thing with the IIS log files, mail, and ftp ports, etc. along with some parsing.

Changing Microsoft Remote Desktop Port from Default TCP 3389 to TCP 110.

    TCP - Remote ports 80 and 443?

Under resource monitor > TCP connections, I've noticed quite a bit of activity on remote ports 80 and 443.

I decided to track several of these IP addresses and whilst some are expected (Microsoft, Amazon (Firefox)), there were a few which went to other mainly web hosting services. Is this normal and expected?

    Is it just routing through?
