Windows 10: taking 64 bit down to 32 bit in order to play old pc game spore on computer, can this be done?

can I take 64 bit down to 32 bit to play old pc game spore on my pc?

The only real test would be trying 32 bit Windows 10 and seeing if it ends up being faster in practice [a test that would take quite a bit of your limited time].

I get the impression that you are aware that
2GB RAM are required for the 64 bit version whereas a minimum of 1GB is required for the 32 bit version. So your choice is between

• getting the benefit of 64 bit processing but limited by the invalid RAM size, or
  
• foregoing the 64 bit processing benefit in order to fulfil the minimum RAM requirement.

I have Rise of nations which I was playing often on the 32 bit version but it will not install and run on 64 bit.

I just upgraded my computer from windows 10 32 bit to 64 bit. I have Rise of nations which I was playing often on the 32 bit version but it will not install and run on 64 bit. Any suggestions would help as I play this game often if it is working

 

Old 32 bit software in Windows 10 64 bit


I have a new home pc with pre-installed Windows 10 64 bit. My 5 year old daughter has some old children games that she loves to play. But, many of them refuse to install in Windows 10 with an error message saying they are 32 bit apps which cannot run on this pc and I should contact the manufacturer for a 64 bit version. This happens no matter which compatibility setting I assign to the setup.exe file.

Is there any way to install and run such old 32 bit game programs in Windows 10 64 bit? They are very old games she loves and there is no 64 bit version available.

(I know I could install a virtual XP machine but that would be too complicated for her).

Appreciate any help.
