  1. has something changed with mouse behavior?

For the past few months, I've had a major issue with single mouse clicks maximizing windows. It is driving me nuts, and it has happened on all the PCs I use. I cannot figure out what has changed. It's truly to the point it's making me hate Windows. Did MS change something in mouse behavior? Did Chrome?? Where it really happens pretty much constantly is in browsers. It's nearly impossible to click in the tabs area without ending up full-screen.

    :)

Mouse without borders mouse behavior issue

    Hi David,

Erratic mouse behaviors may be a caused by a corrupted software or a defective device. Hence, we would like to know more:

    • Have you done any changes on your computer?
    • Are we working on a wired or a wireless device?
    • If it is a wired device, have you tried a different USB port?
    • Have you used a different mouse and check if the issue persist?
    • What is the make and model of your computer?

Meanwhile, kindly check Mouse, touchpad, and keyboard problems in Windows. At the bottom page is a topic
about Hardware Troubleshooter Drivers. Please find the steps on how to update a device driver using Windows Update.

Keep us updated with the status of the issue and we'll be glad to assist you further.

    Hi,

For us to properly isolate the issue with the performance of your mouse, we would like to know the following:

    • Were there any changes made on your computer prior to the issue (e.g., updates, software installation)?
    • Are you using a wired or a Bluetooth mouse?
    • Have you tried using a different mouse? If yes, what is the result?
    • Have you tried using your current mouse to a different computer? If yes, how was it?
    • To make sure that we have not missed on anything, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

For possible resolution, we suggest that you check and try the troubleshooting steps from the articles below:

We look forward to your response.
