Windows 10: Laptop speakers don't play video sound equally

I just encountered this problem about 10 minutes ago after not using my laptop for a few hours. For some reason when I play videos the sound is mostly coming from the left side, and there's only a small amount of sound coming from the right. I've tried to figure out what the issue is but I can't. I've troubleshooted and run test sounds, but the test sounds play equally from both sides, so I'm very confused on what the actual issue is. This also occurs with headphones. I've lowered the balance on the left side so it plays mostly equally but I can still tell there's a problem. I have an Inspiron 7773.

• Are you using an external or internal speaker?
• If you are using an external speaker, it depends with the driver of your device if there is an equalizer included in the settings, have you already checked if there is an equalizer option included in it?
• For initial troubleshooting, we recommend that you run the built-in troubleshooter.
  

• On the Search bar, type Troubleshooting.
• Click it from the search result.
• In the Control Panel, click View all.
• Locate Playing Audio to automatically address the sound issue.
